Women at Work is a multi-media installation involving painting and kinetic sculpture. It’s a retrospect of the female body and identity, as well as a “female gaze” from the artist herself.

This is a landscape of an ensemble of fragmental bodies mixing with machines and parts. The individual frames with different sizes in the work represent women in different occupations. They could be household wives, female soldiers, diplomat wives, diplomats, sex workers, programmers, secretaries, waitresses, seamers, celebrities, beauty queens, etc. Outside of the individual frames, there is continued space and landscape. It’s a cyborg of unsettled female identity and nonstop labor.
